Boogie Nights is a classic in modern American film. Take a subject that most producers wouldn't touch in a million years and mix it with excellent acting, writing, set design, costume design, and musical score and you get an almost perfect film. Martin Scorsese, and rightly gives him credit during the commentary. The DVD has a ton of extras, a directors commentary, a 2.35 to 1 16x9 enhanced transfer and a wonderful Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack. Easily one of the best movies of it's time, you should only avoid this one if your blinders are on a little too tight to let you see how other lives are lived.
